What Our Clients are Saying

“WECYAC made a terrible situation manageable. The support given to my child over the course of nearly a year was invaluable, and I’m so tankful we have this program in our community”-

“I cannot express enough sincere gratitude to you for many things, such as your calming and warm presence, incredible skills, patience, kindness, and knowledge. It was truly an honor to meet you, despite the unfortunate circumstances. ”

I thank you for the work that you do. You are a ray of light during very dark, troubling times; a beacon of hope. Since the children have not had any contact with the other party, my parents, the school, and I have noticed a tremendous improvement in behaviors. Zero contact has truly made an impact for the greater good.

The “Empower Youth for a Safer Tomorrow” Project

Positive Role Models

During the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year and in partnership with St. Clair College, WECYAC has developed a Youth Mentorship Program and Training Model. Through a trauma informed, specially designed program model, the Youth Mentorship Program provides specially trained mentors to children and youth who are victims of abuse and crime. The project aims to provide positive role models to children and youth through their healing journey and is currently in it’s pilot stage.

Sharing Lived Experiences

In the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year and in partnership with Windsor Essex Counter Exploitation Network (WECEN), WECYAC launched a human trafficking prevention campaign informed by survivors’ lived experiences. This trauma-sensitive, culturally relevant campaign was able to reach thousands of high school students providing education on healthy relationships vs. unhealthy relationships, human trafficking red flags, human trafficking warning signs, and the importance of having a safe adult in their life.
